Brickworld 2013 - Keep debut.

Picture
The first year of HOPE castle as just a keep as my sister Keely was in her battle with Breast Cancer.

Brickworld Chicago 2014

This year saw a taller keep and the first hint of protection from walls. The walls would get a height increase in future years.

HOPE Castle at Brickworld 2015. This castle includes the town that was added to the castle this year. The LCD Monitor which debuted in 2014 returned this year showing pictures of those that the castle has been built in memory of. If you watch the screen during the interview they gave me you can see Justin Miller and Taylor Easterberg in the video.

Here we see the Ice bears uniting with the humans, who have the use of jet packs, fighting the Dragon Horde led by non other than Kevin Hinkle. If you look carefully you will see him riding the fire dragon. Lower left you can see the barn built in memory of Jim West. Keep is at its full 14 levels but I may have to make more ribbon levels. Once the LUGBULK order for 2016 arrives I will begin the reconstruction process of adding texture to all levels and walls.

My Interview this year by Beyond the Brick

Brickworld Chicago 2017.

Picture
HOPE castle at Brickworld Chicago 2017 was put on the tables but without the legs extended so that it was on the floor for better viewing. I was able to get out all of the Chima minifigures which included 600+ Ice bears, 100+ Saber Tooth, 30+ Crocs. I was able to put out my version of the "Magnificent Seven"(newest release) in Chima minifigures.

Brickworld Chicago 2018

Picture
HOPE castle at Brickworld Chicago 2018 was put on the tables but on the floor again as it gives a great view for the kids. This year I was able to complete the textured look in all the wall sections, raised the keep a little bit, finished textured "Jim's Barn", moat all blue baseplates, staircase to upper floors, stairs to the towers. Lots of changes this year and will see what time I have for changes for 2019.

Brickworld Wisconsin August 2018

Picture
You can't tell by this picture, but I had left 50-75% of the Ice Bear forces behind in Colorado for this show. Luckily I had lots of Water Dragons with me to build and setup to fill the walls and areas within the castle walls. This was the first Brickworld show since 2016 where the castle was put on raised tables.

VIRTUAL Brickworld 2020

I was able to set up HOPE Castle on my Build table in my LEGO workshop/Storage. I believe the first virtual show I hosted a room all by myself for the 6 hour show.

Brickworld Chicago 2022

"Bridges to Paradise Island" for the Building Bridges theme. I had HOPE Castle and Iceberg Bridges, Buttchop had the Pyroclastic Palace with Lava Bridges, Jordan provided an Orc Base in which Michael Frederick had Sea Serpent bridge connecting the base to the island, and Jefferson provided the Kraken which I augmented with UV reactive parts under the arms. The paradise island ended up getting created by me as we had someone get to busy to build for this collaboration.

The collaboration this year contained Buttchop's augmented Lion Chi Temple and his scratch Eagle Spire with a return of the Pyroclastic palace. Michael Frederick contributed the Orc Beer Garden this year. I(Reed) contributed the Pendragon Fortress(Not clear, go figure), the NEW Roaring Roller Disco, "Clover of HOPE" and "Memorial Tower" with out castle walls. We did open up the Rainbow portals to create some "Shenanigans" with Jeffrey Viens' Layout where as the Ice Bears went there to retrieve grapes for the beer garden thus allowing Jeffrey to invade with some of his Ice Cream Cone Soldiers
